freak snowstorm.

that's right. it is exactly what it sounds like. today, around two i left my house to go and take stephanie out to the fire chief's house to return some of his nephew's things to storage. as i left the house i was so happy about what a nice day it was. warm and sunny. perfect rexburg weather! stephanie and i drove out to the fire chiefs house and as i sat in the car waiting for her to return the items i looked around and noticed some, peculiar clouds, rolling in from the south. stephanie got back in the car and i pointed them out to her, and she told me they were rain clouds. if only if only. i should have known, rexburg does not believe in rain clouds. well, we went to sonic to get some drinks and the wind started blowing real hard. stephanie was sure it was going to blow my car away at any moment. but it didn't. then as we were heading back to stephanies apartment, it started to rain, but soon, the rain started to have a visitor, named SNOW! no big deal, it was little tiny snowflakes that melted as soon as they hit my window. we parked in steph's parking lot and in about 30 seconds the tiny snowflakes turned into giant snowflakes and stephanie, in her shorts and t-shirt, decided that she was not getting out of my car until it stopped! stephanie was also pretty sure that we were going to get snowed in to my car. so we spent an hour in my car while it snowed really hard, and we got a little bored. so we wrote things in the foggy windows, two girls came out from the apt. under stephanies and one was taking pictures and the other one looked quite upset about the situation, after a few minutes they went back inside. about 5 minutes later, the upset girl came back out and yelled, "WHY ARE YOU SNOWING???" on the top of her lungs and went back inside, it was hilarious. then stephanie decided that we needed to do a weather report. it was so funny.

just for your reference, there was no tornado, that we know of, and cars were not really sliding around the parking lot ... not yet at least. well, now here i sit, 430 and and the sun is back out and the skies are blue, and i am guessing that if i went outside it would be nice and warm again. oh rexburg, how you confuse me with your bipolar weather.

scripture of the day:
Alma 26:6 Yea, they shall not be beaten down by the storm at the last day; yea, neither shall they be harrowed up by the whirlwinds; but when the storm cometh they shall be gathered together in their place, that the storm cannot penetrate to them; yea, neither shall they be driven with fierce winds whithersoever the enemy listeth to carry them.

today i am thankful for:
* arizona weather, and not having to worry if it is going to suddenly snow in the middle of may.
* stephanie, and her ability to make being "snowed in" a car so much fun.
* fireplaces and blankets that keep you warm and toasty after you come in from crazy snowstorms.
* phones that can take videos.
* cheap cherry limeades from sonic!

Oh you are so silly. It is a good thing your beautiful orange flowers are located in your bedroom and not outside. They might have gotten very cold.

this is very true. and the man who sold them to me even said that they would last all winter if i kept them inside. i guess this proves his point, for they are still alive!! <3.

All winter or all summer? Winter is hopefully almost over, even in Idaho.
