so, recently i decided that i wanted to change my style. i'm not sure i have really had a distinct style before. mainly a little bit of this and a little bit of that. when i was in high school my style was probably "dark goddess" i always wore black. always. it was my thing. then when i got to college for the first time (at MCC) i changed a little to "soccer mom" then i changed a little bit more to "punk rocker soccer mom" and then while at byu-idaho i have kinda been stuck in the "random" zone. well. i decided that i had had enough random in my life, and that i wanted a style. one of my very own. so i went to some stores. started to see what i like. and decided on a style. i call it "grandma chic." now, one might ask, "janaya, what makes an outfit grandma chic?" and i would have to say, i don't really know. the colors have a lot to do with it, but that "chic" at the end means you can still have non-grandma colors as long as the overall ensemble is grandma. haha. i am thoroughly enjoying my new style. it makes me smile. i don't really have any pictures of these styles yet but i will work on getting some up in the future. i can show you a picture of one of the cardigans i bought that i stole offline, and hopefully that will help you to understand what "grandma chic" is.
i got all of the inspiration for my new style from this cardigan. i am excited to feel like i have a style that is a little nerdy, but also a lot wonderful! look for a grandma chic picture blog to come shortly. i love you all!
